Japanese Emoji and Kaomoji

See all in Japan Loves U Blog

Using Emoji(image illustration like piktogram)in mobile email like short message or web email are common in Japan.
In Japan, we can register our individual email only for mobile phone, and short message can be used only for the communication between same mobile company user. This system may be different with other countries. Mobile phone Emoji can use only for mobile phone and if the email with Mobile phone Emoji is sent to WEB email, it will get garbled. (See Mobile phone Emoji in the picture)
For WEB email and sometimes for mobile phone we use Kaomoji(Kao=Face Moji=letter). Similar things will be used in the world, however Japanese Kaomoji is little bit original one. Emoji and Kaomoji is useful to express the emotion, situation, reality.

Here are some of them which are so common in Japan. Following picture is Emoji for mobile phone.
